Harry

Harry, also known as Hondo, is a 1 year old male mixed breed weighing approximately 28 kg. He has a tall build and is not yet neutered on veterinary advice. He is currently in foster care in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Harry is a young, energetic and intelligent dog who thrives on activity and engagement. He is affectionate with his people and enjoys fuss, cuddles and interactive play. As a typical adolescent, he can be bouncy and excitable but is eager to learn and responds well to training. He has completed basic obedience training and shows strong potential. He is highly food-motivated and enjoys enrichment activities such as tug games, scent work, tracking and mantrailing. He particularly enjoys water and retrieving games. Harry can walk on a loose lead but remains excitable around distractions and will benefit from continued structured training. He may jump when frustrated. He has shown some reactivity, including barking at people outside the home or car, but has made significant progress and is improving with consistent training. He is friendly with other dogs but can become overexcited and boisterous. If living with another dog, a confident dog of similar size would be most suitable. He is not suitable for homes with cats or small animals due to a high prey drive. Harry can initially be wary of visitors but improves with calm, positive introductions. He settles well with familiar people and enjoys attention and interaction. Harry would suit an active, experienced home able to provide continued training, structure and mental stimulation. With consistency and clear boundaries, he has the potential to develop into a loyal and engaging companion.
