Duke

Duke is a 1 year old male Mastiff Cross. He is a big, soppy boy who has a loving nature and is looking for a new home. With his size and playful personality, he is best suited to a home with another large, nice-natured dog who can match his energy and keep him company. Duke loves people and dogs alike, but because of his clumsy and boisterous ways, he is not suitable for a home with small dogs. Despite his size, he is a well-mannered lad who walks nicely on a lead, responds well to guidance and is eager to please. His affectionate nature shines through, making him an incredibly loving companion. Duke will need a home where someone is around for most of the time, though he can be left for a few hours once he has bonded with the resident dog. A secure garden and plenty of space to play are important for him, given his size and energy levels. He is fully vaccinated but still too young to be neutered. Duke is great with children who are dog respectful, though due to policy he cannot be placed in a home with children under 8. He is not suitable to live with cats, but for the right family, he will be a loyal and affectionate friend.
