Lima

Lima is a 13-year-old female Cross-Breed of medium/large size. She is a very shy and gentle girl who takes her time to warm up to people, often needing a safe space away from visitors until she feels comfortable. Despite her timid nature, Lima has a sweet temperament with no history of aggression, even when she’s frightened. She is both toilet and crate trained, though she prefers the crate to remain open. Lima is happy to be left alone for up to four hours and sleeps well overnight. She has been minimally destructive, occasionally tearing up cardboard boxes she finds, and she has not travelled in a car before. With patience, she will accept a harness, collar, and lead, but she will need time to build trust before she feels confident walking on a lead. On walks, Lima can be worried by loud noises and busy environments, so quieter areas are best. She feels much more confident walking alongside another calm dog. She walks slowly and steadily, loves her food and treats, and with gentle encouragement, she continues to make small steps in confidence.
