Rico is a 4-year-old male Spanish Bodeguero. This handsome and lively boy comes from a breed originally known for guarding Spanish bodegas, where families stored wine, sherry, and cheeses. The Bodeguero’s role was to keep the area safe and free from rats — a task that shaped them into intelligent, alert, and loyal companions. True to his breed, Rico is hardy, active, and full of personality, making him an excellent pet for anyone who loves an energetic and affectionate dog. Once someone’s cherished pet, Rico was sadly abandoned and found himself in a pound. Thankfully, he’s now safe and cared for, showing just how adaptable and resilient he is. He’s lead trained, house trained, and wonderfully social with both people and other dogs. Rico’s friendly and confident nature shines through in every interaction, and he’s eager to please those around him. Rico is fully vaccinated, health checked, microchipped, and neutered, and he also holds a full EU passport, meaning he’s ready to travel to his new home. He’s an affectionate, outgoing dog who thrives on human connection and activity — whether that’s a long walk, playtime in the garden, or simply spending time with his people.
