Kansas

Kansas is an 8-month-old youngster who has already experienced more upheaval than any puppy should. He was hand-reared, lived happily in foster care in Spain with many many other dogs. He travelled to UK to a homing attempt that failed. He was placed with other dogs and it became apparent that he was entering his adolescence he was becoming food dominant inside the home. He is currently sharing a pen at the kennels and is doing well, but this has been carefully managed and kennel life is not where he will thrive long-term. He can recall to his name. Kansas is a people-focused, affectionate and sensitive boy who bonds strongly with his humans. He enjoys routine, calm handling and clear guidance. He is trained recall to his name but he is now adolescent so requires reinforcement to continue. He is currently sharing a pen at the kennels and is doing well, but this has been carefully managed and kennel life is not where he will thrive long-term. To give Kansas the best chance of a successful, permanent home, we are seeking a dog-free household, an experienced home with a good understanding of young dogs and calm, consistent adults able to provide structure and boundaries. Must have a safe and secure garden for him. A home where the family always tends to mostly have someone home would be nice. Kansas has known home life and human companionship. Returning to a kennel environment has been confusing for him, and we are very keen to see him settled back into a family setting as soon as possible.
