Dorris — American Bulldog Cross

Dorris

🐕 American Bulldog CrossAdult3 yearsFemaleNational
In the home, Dorris is calm, clean, and well behaved. She is non-destructive and enjoys a quiet, settled environment where she can relax, play with her toys, and spend time with her person. She is affectionate and enjoys both playtime and cuddles, forming a strong bond with those she trusts. Dorris is a fun and engaging dog who brings personality and joy into the home. She is happy to entertain herself with toys or chews but equally enjoys interaction and affection from her humans. Dorris does struggle around other dogs and will need to be the only pet in the home. Walks and environments need to be carefully managed to ensure she feels safe and comfortable. Due to her needs, Dorris requires an experienced and understanding owner who can provide structure, calm handling, and appropriate management of her environment. Kennel life can be particularly stressful for Dorris due to the presence of other dogs, and she is often kept in a quieter area to help reduce this stress. Dorris would suit a calm, structured home where she can feel safe and settled. She needs an owner who will advocate for her, manage her surroundings, and allow her to live a peaceful life without unnecessary pressure. When given the right environment, Dorris is a loving, loyal, and joyful companion who simply wants to play, cuddle, and belong. If they have been around children, what ages were the children? How does the dog walk on the lead? She does focus on other dogs and will lunge at them, so will need to be walked in quieter areas or exercised in a secure field on her own. When she’s on her own, she’s generally well behaved on the lead, no excessive pulling. She’s quite nosy and likes a good sniff around. How long can the dog be left at home without issue? 7 hours plus. She was left for longer periods when I had to stay at work and was absolutely fine when I got home. No destruction or accidents. My neighbour did say she barked a bit when left, so she may be sorted to shorter periods or a house without many neighbours. Is the dog destructive at home? Not at all, she is extremely well behaved girl in the house. Fully housetrained and doesn’t chew anything she shouldn’t. She was provided with a variety of chew toys though as she constantly likes to chew or play with balls etc. Whats are they fed? I fed her raw and she loved it Select CountyAvonBedfordshireBerkshireBordersBuckinghamshireCambridgeshireCentralCheshireClevelandClwydCornwallCounty AntrimCounty ArmaghCounty DownCounty FermanaghCounty LondonderryCounty TyroneCumbriaDerbyshireDevonDorsetDumfries and GallowayDurhamDyfedEast SussexEssexFifeGloucestershireGrampianGreater ManchesterGwentGwynedd CountyHampshireHerefordshireHertfordshireHighlands and IslandsHumbersideIsle of ManIsle of WightKentLancashireLeicestershireLincolnshireLondonLothianMerseysideMid GlamorganMiddlesexNorfolkNorth YorkshireNorthamptonshireNorthumberlandNottinghamshireOxfordshirePowysRutlandShropshireSomersetSouth GlamorganSouth YorkshireStaffordshireStrathclydeSuffolkSurreyTaysideTyne and WearWarwickshireWest GlamorganWest MidlandsWest SussexWest YorkshireWiltshireWorcestershire Team Ilbrey K9 Partners specialise in rescuing large breed dogs, mainly mastiff and bull types, normally under 18 months old.
